Make easy ranch dressing!
You guys! Ranch dressing is super popular here on the west coast, especially in California. What gets me is how many people don’t simply make their own AMAZING homemade ranch.
Making ranch is super easy and cheap to make. Once you have this dressing recipe, you wont be buying the shelf brands anytime soon.
This ranch goes good as a dressing or dipping sauce. If you love ranch as much as I do, you’ll need to make this ASAP!
The fresh herbs and tangy buttermilk make this recipe hard to resist. As you can see by the photo, I already lost some of my ranch to my family getting at it before I could even shoot the picture! #bloggerproblems
Your family will love this homemade dressing and it’s perfect for the kiddos too. I like to store my dressings in mason jars. They sit well in the refrigerator and I love their look – as they resonate deeply with ‘homemade’.
When I say this ranch dressing is easy to make, I mean it! Within five minutes (or less) you will be on your way to ranch heaven!
All you’ll need is some buttermilk, mayo, and some off the shelf spices. While freshly chopped chives really add to the zesty flavor, you can always substitute dried chives.
As your dressing rests in your refrigerator, the flavors begin to come out even more. This ranch is even better over the next few days.
Your feedback is welcome so drop me a comment after trying the recipe!

- 1 tsp Fresh Chives
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the mayo and buttermilk using a whisk until smooth.
- Add all other ingredients into mixture. Whisk until spices are mixed throughout the dressing.
- Place the ranch dressing into desired storage container. Use a rubber spatula around the edges of the bowl to ensure you get as much yield as possible.
- Eat & enjoy! Refrigerate and use within 7 days for best flavor.
Notes
This dressing gets more & more flavorful as it chills. Try it again after it sits overnight...you'll notice the difference! For a lighter version, substitute out 1/2 cup of mayo for either sour cream or greek yogurt.
